Roasting profile

At Crew Coffee, we have chosen three standard roasting profiles.

We believe that there isn't just one specific roasting profile suitable for, say, filter coffee and another for espresso.

It's a matter of how you personally like your coffee.

Traditionally, lighter roasts have been preferred for pour-over, filter, and French press coffee, while darker roasts have been favorites for brewing espresso, cortado, and similar drinks.

Below, you will find the typical characteristics of our three roasting profiles.

Light Roast:

• Color: Light brown
• Acidity: High
• Experience: Fruity
• Body: Light

Medium Roast:

• Color: Brown
• Acidity: Mild
• Experience: Sweet
• Body: Light to full

Dark Roast:

• Color: Dark brown
• Acidity: Low
• Experience: Bittersweet
• Body: Full
